Latah County Jail Day One Reentry Program

Our Day One Re-Entry Program helps individuals in the Latah County jail reintegrate back into our community. Our team consists of two Recovery Coaches and one Case Manager that walks alongside our participants on their road to recovery.

Our Recovery Coaches meet with people in the jail every Tuesday for our Jail All Recovery meetings. In these meetings inmates can make goals towards their recovery and what they want to accomplish post release.

Participants in our Program will work with the Re-Entry team to find housing, employment, sober social activities, options for counseling, and other appropriate resources. The Re-Entry team will collaborate with individuals such as Probation Officers, Public Defenders, Treatment Court staff, etc., to make sure the participants’ needs are being met.

Prior to release, Recovery Coaches will go through a Day One Plan. This includes tasks that need to be completed as well as some roleplay examples they might run into once released. The participant’s will participate in our Day One Program where the Case Manager will be waiting outside the jail door to pick them up and complete the tasks discussed in their Day One Plan. From there, the participant will meet with their Recovery Coach and Case Manager for the following weeks after post release.
